Gordon to drive
'Peanuts' car
Well, all the
rumors you've heard are true. Jeff Gordon will be
driving in a car with a special 'Peanuts' paint
scheme. It is to commemorate the work and life of
the late cartoonist, Charles Schulz, who drew
'Peanuts' for so many years.
The car was
unveiled by Gordon, Peanuts character "Snoopy" and
Chris Schulz, the cartoonist's son, Friday morning
at Sears Point Raceway on the eve of the opening
practice for Sunday's Save Mart/Kragen 350.

The car will be entered at Indianapolis Motor
Speedway for the August 5 Brickyard 400.
The paint scheme
features America's favorite beagle in the form of
Joe Cool and the Red Baron atop DuPont
ChromaPremier "Cool Blue" paint colors. Snoopy's
faithful sidekick Woodstock will also be on board
to help pilot the No. 24 Monte Carlo.
"We hope that the
Red Baron takes over for us at Indy," said Gordon
who wishes to be the first three-time winner of the
prestigious event.
